Herb Grellner started Grellner Truck Line in 1941.  In those days, Herb hauled livestock out of Rich Fountain, Missouri. It wasn't until the mid 1950's that, much by chance, Grellner began hauling beer.  A truck headed to Chicago to pick up a load of Edelweiss Beer broke down around Rich Fountain, and Herb ended up heading to Chicago to pick-up that load of beer.  Realizing the business potential, and making use of the contacts he made on that first haul, Herb began distributing Edelweiss in Rich Fountain.
